Stream Your Own Home Movies to TV with Projector
Do you have a box of old reel films or VHS tapes trapped in the basement? Last month I went home to Indiana, and while relaxing with the fam, my aunt said, “This would be a great time to watch those old home movies, if we only knew how.”
Wait…what??? So we all trooped down into the basement, poked through the cardboard boxes, and came up with 35 cans of reel film! We had fun trying to guess what the notes on the boxes meant. We figured they were mostly shot between 1959 and ’69, but there was very little info beyond that.
My aunt had the best line. She said, “Well you might as well do it for us, since it hasn’t happened yet!” After 50 years, these films are finally getting their day.
I hand-carried them through airport security (word to the wise, TSA does not love to see passengers carrying bags packed with metal!), and my team got to work converting them and putting them up on our own private family viewing platform.
