Did you buy any new organizing gear yet this month? That’s a shame, because you probably already have what you need. The most important tool a professional organizer has in their tool belt isn’t a labeler or a Sharpie, it’s creative organizing. Let me show you what I mean.
If you have a chance to take over a gorgeous dresser like this and turn it into your gift wrap station, I say do it! But when life gets busy, it’s understandable if the gift things start to take over. (You know they hold parties when you aren’t there. I mean, they are literally made to party.)
If you are thrifty like me, you try to recycle the pretty ribbons, and maybe you keep a few extra gift cards and small gifts on hand for last minute occasions. But can you find what you need when you need it?
To keep the ribbon on the rolls, the simplest tip is to add a piece of tape to the loose end of each ribbon. That will keep the drawer neat.
In this case, I found a handful of tiny organza bags, undoubtedly used for party favors back in the day.
They were hiding under a pile of curly ribbon, which is the most unruly of all ribbons. But maybe those two things wanted to be together?
Winding the curly ribbon around in a loose ball, I stuffed them into the five favor bags, and voila! Neat little packages of ribbon, easy to pull out of the bags and cut to length.
Your house is already FULL of organizing containers, boxes, and bags, if you only look for them.
And how pretty is this? Way better than one more plastic organizing gadget from a big box store.
