Habitat for Humanity ReStore Now Open in Horsham, PA

I am so tired from the grand opening today at Horsham, PA, grateful that Habitat asked me to be the in-store designer for this weekend. Itching for a re-design or help with a home improvement project? Come on out and see what’s in store.

This beauty lasted about 10 minutes before it was snatched up by the first shoppers.

They lined up to get in!

We’re going to have to mount those giant ribbon cutting scissors on Ryan’s office wall. So fun!

If you have a vision, you can find amazing things. Dining table plus dishes, rug, lamp…wrap it up!

This $10 art item was so big, we couldn’t get it in the picture. Perfect condition. Look how happy they are to bring it home!

These huge monograms should have gone to an Eagles fan. (Can you see it?)

By the end of the day, we were just waiting for Gil to come by. Gil, are you there???

This dining room storage chest is a-maze-ing! Real wood, and in great condition! Even had all its hardware.

It would be a great place to store those few extra serving dishes that never fit in the kitchen.

Making a pie? Yeah, we can help you out. Rachel also grabbed one of my books while she was there.

If you are thinking DIY, there’s plenty to keep you busy. This GE Profile oven is a steal at just $60. GE Profile. Yes, really.

Project wood.

Lighting fixtures, many of them brand new and still in the box. This one is just $120!

You can save a lot of time when you buy things like this built-in storage bench. Kitchen banquette? Mudroom storage? You can always paint it, and then trim around it.

You just never know what you’ll find. This little letter slot went home with a couple just an hour after I was fondling it.

I helped a couple pick out these 4 chairs that they will paint yellow and use at their kitchen table in a very trendy mismatch set. All of the chairs are very comfy and solid. They paid $35 for four of them together. The funny part? After we picked them out, we discovered that the gal and I know each other, but only online! Small world.

I want to have a fancy party where I need a punchbowl and modern punch glasses like these.

I helped this guy truck his new filing cabinet up to the register. He only paid $15 for this HON filing cabinet. Whaaaattt??? This is HON filing cabinet with full extension drawers goes for $300 new. It is the same high-end filing cabinet we used for the custom office that we redesigned with coral cabinets. Do you remember that project?

Don’t worry, there are more file cabinets for YOU. This pair has locks AND wheels! They just need a coat of paint.

We had fun setting up this groovy sofa vignette at the end of the day. I suspect it will sell quickly tomorrow.

This beautiful mid-century set came in at the end of the day. They are constantly refreshing stock, so don’t be concerned about things being picked over. The lovely Emily, one of today’s volunteers, was showing off this set.

This set has a great pedigree, from Bassett Furniture, real wood and dovetail construction.

Each dresser is $85 or less, which is amazing when you compare it to the style and price of what I found in my email just tonight from Ethan Allen. Looks so similar, doesn’t it?

Tomorrow is day 2 of the grand opening, and I’ll be there in the morning and early afternoon. Come by and get my book while you are there. Here are the normal hours for the Horsham ReStore:

Monday: Closed

Wednesday- Sat: 10 am – 7 pm
