If you are staging your home to sell this spring, or if you just wish you could start over with fresh decor, here’s a tip for your bookshelves. Remove the paper jackets from your books. It simplifies the color scheme and makes your whole collection look richer and pulled together.
Can you see how that one little tip instantly improves the look. We would move these books around by height and color to make them even more visually appealing.
You can either store your book jackets and put them back on in your new home. But you might love the look and decide to use it going forward, as well.
While I’m not a fan of removing dust jackets for books on display, I see your logic in it. I prefer to sort my books by size and adding an interesting objets d’art to break up the monotony. Anything to get a home to look neater!
Thanks for stopping by, Pam. I would definitely defer to you on most things books! When staging a home for sale, we look at our things a whole new way.
Hello my friend! Shared on fb last week and pinned! Staging books is good even just to have a nicely organized bookshelf in general. 🙂
Thanks, Denise. Such a simple tip, but you are right. Good for whether you are staging or staying. Hope you are staying warm.
