It’s hard to stay organized if you are your tots are hungry. Find a few recipes that you can stock in the pantry and that are a snap to prepare. You’ll save money and calories.

1 lb ground turkey defrosted*
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped green pepper
1 small can mushroom pieces (undrained)
1 can kidney beans (undrained)
1 can lima beans (undrained)
1 can diced tomatoes
1 46 oz can of tomato juice
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp sea salt
Add ingredients to crockpot. Stir. Cook on low 6-10 hours. Serve topped with shredded cheddar cheese. Add a side of cornbread or tortilla chips.
*Thaw one pound of ground turkey or ground beef in the fridge overnight. (If you forget, just throw it in frozen.)

1 can of evaporated milk
8 oz shredded cheddar cheese
1 lb bag of frozen peas
1 lb. box of wheat pasta
Boil water and cook the pasta according to directions until al dente. When cooked, add frozen peas and let boil one more minute. Drain in strainer and return to pot. Add evaporated milk and shredded cheese. Stir and let sit on stove for about 5 minutes to let the cheese melt. Enjoy!

6 Potatoes, cleaned & cubed, with skins on if desired
6 Carrots, peeled & sliced
1/4 tsp salt
1 lb. ground turkey (can use ground beef)
1 egg, beaten
3/4 C cracker crumbs or bread crumbs
1/3 C ketchup
1/3 C finely chopped onion
1/4 tsp dried marjoram
1/4 tsp black pepper
Place Potatoes & carrots in crockpot and sprinkle with salt. Combine remaining ingredients in a separate bowl. Mix well and shape in to a loaf. Place loaf on top of vegetables, not touching sides. Cover & cook on low, 8-10 hours.

14 oz can Salmon WITH liquid (the kind with bones and skin is the healthiest, least costly, and best for this recipe).
4 oz can mushrooms, drained
1/2 C seasoned bread crumbs
2 eggs, beaten
1 C grated cheddar or taco cheese
1 Tbl. lemon juice
1 Tbl. minced onion
Flake fish in to the crockpot. Stir well with a fork to mix in all the crunchy parts. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low no more than 3-5 hours. Serve with a side salad and rolls for a complete dinner.
